Mysterious traces on palm leaves.

In the jungle, the day started as usual with morning exercises. Lion Kuba was doing push-ups in his favorite hat, Mouse Patrycja was practicing jumps through leaves, Giraffe Zofia was stretching her neck, and Anteater Alfred was training his sense of smell by sniffing various vials from his collection.

After the exercises, it was time for breakfast. Kuba was enjoying steak cookies, Patrycja was munching on cheese ones, Zofia was savoring palm ones, and Alfred was devouring his favorite ant treats. Everyone was ready for another day of detective adventures.

Three jungle residents came to their office with problems. The first was Hippo Henryk, who had lost his reading glasses.

„Without them, I can’t see where I’m going! Let alone read my romance novels! I feel like I’ve lost half the world!”

Lion Kuba, after a moment of thought, looked Henryk straight in the eyes. „Henryk, glasses are important, but they don’t define you. Remember where you last read. Check there carefully and… ask someone for help! Two pairs of eyes see better than one. And remember, even without glasses, you’re a strong and wonderful hippo! Try to retrace your steps, and perhaps you’ll discover something new in the jungle along the way!”

The second was Parrot Pola, complaining that someone was stealing her feathers for nest building.

Mouse Patrycja, always full of empathy, responded: „Pola, I understand your concern. Building a nest is important. My advice? Pay attention to when the feathers disappear. Is it always at the same time of day? Maybe someone is watching you? Install small bells around your nest! If someone approaches, you’ll hear it. And above all, don’t lose hope! Together we’ll find the culprit. Think about installing small, shiny objects – the thief might get scared away.”

The third to appear was Monkey Marta, who had discovered strange tracks on palm leaves near her home.

Monkey Marta, terrified, showed the detectives the leaves: „Look at these tracks! Someone is walking on my leaves! I’m afraid someone wants to hurt me!”

Anteater Alfred, with his reliable nose, approached the leaves. „Marta, don’t panic. These tracks are strange, but not necessarily threatening. I can smell… berries here. Are there berries growing nearby? Someone might have just been looking for food. My advice? Plant more berries! This way, you’ll show that you’re not angry and willing to share with others. And if that doesn’t work, you can always ask me for help. I’ll smell any intruder!”

„This looks like a real mystery!” said Zofia, looking at the leaves that Marta had brought. „We need to investigate this.”

The whole team set out into the field. Zofia, thanks to her height, began observing from above, drawing a map of the area. „The tracks lead toward the river,” she announced, pointing to the map.

Alfred put his nose to the leaves. „Hmmm, I smell mango… and something else. Like… fish?” he purred, inhaling deeply.

„Mango and fish? That’s an unusual combination! Earlier you smelled berries,” laughed Patrycja, writing everything down in her journal.

Alfred, still sniffing, finally identified conclusively that it was the smell of fruits and fish on Marta’s leaves. He concluded that the culprit must be someone who likes both these treats and often combines them.

„These stains look suspicious,” said Alfred, wrinkling his nose. „They could be dangerous for our fur!”

Mouse Patrycja, who had many friends in the jungle, immediately knew who to ask for help.

„I know someone who can help us!” squeaked Patrycja. „Bear Maurycy deals with dangerous waste and pollution in the jungle. He’ll know what to do!”

They quickly ran to Bear Maurycy, who lived in a large, old hollow. The bear, with glasses on his nose, was reading a book about chemistry.

„Oh my, oh my!” exclaimed Bear Maurycy when he saw photos of the stains. „This could be dangerous! Fortunately, I have special protective suits for everyone!”

Bear Maurycy pulled four shiny suits out of his closet. They were colorful and looked like astronaut outfits.

„Everyone must wear a suit to keep their fur safe!” explained the Bear.

Kuba, Patrycja, and Alfred quickly put on their suits. Unfortunately, there was no suit in Zofia Giraffe’s size!

„Don’t worry, Zofia,” comforted Bear Maurycy. „Your legs are so long that your fur will be far from the stains. You’re not in danger!”

Armed with suits and a magnifying glass from Bear Maurycy, the detectives set out to find the source of the mysterious stains. Alfred led the way, sniffing intensely.

„The smell is getting stronger!” shouted Alfred as they approached the river.

Patrycja, thanks to her contacts in the jungle, learned from gossiping butterflies that Squid Kajtek had recently moved near Marta’s house and often had picnics by the river, eating mango and fish.

„It must be Kajtek!” shouted Patrycja. „The butterflies saw him having picnics by the river!”

When they reached the river, they saw Kajtek, who was just preparing a mango and fish sandwich. Around him were lots of colorful stains!

„Kajtek!” called Zofia. „Do you know that your stains are all over Marta’s leaves?”

Kajtek looked at them in surprise, and then lowered his tentacles in embarrassment.

„Oh, I’m sorry!” said Kajtek. „I didn’t know my picnics were leaving stains. Mango and fish are my favorite treats, but I didn’t want to bother anyone!”

Bear Maurycy examined the stains with his special magnifying glass.

„Fortunately, these stains aren’t dangerous,” he announced with relief. „It’s just mango juice and fish oil. But they need to be cleaned up!”

Zofia proposed a solution:

„Kajtek, you can have picnics, but on a special picnic mat that we’ll give you. This way, you won’t leave stains. And we’ll help you clean up the ones you’ve already made.”

Kajtek was very happy and agreed to the proposal. Together they cleaned up all the stains, and Bear Maurycy taught Kajtek how to keep the jungle clean.

Meanwhile, a small monkey, noticing Pola’s beautiful feathers, had decided to take them to decorate her house. After a short conversation, the monkey apologized to Pola and returned her feathers.

Finally, Kuba handed Henryk his glasses, which they had found in the grass. The detectives, satisfied with solving another mystery, returned to their office, ready for new challenges.

After solving the mystery, the animals could indulge in their favorite activities, which included lying in hanging hammocks, chilling, and gazing at the setting sun. Bear Maurycy joined them, telling interesting stories about the jungle and its inhabitants.

The day in the jungle ended successfully, and the residents could sleep peacefully, knowing that they had such efficient and dedicated detectives nearby, who are always ready to help!
