On a quiet evening, as the moon shone brightly over the jungle, four detectives sat on the terrace of their base, sipping palm leaf tea prepared by Zofia.
„Look! A shooting star!” Patrycja suddenly called out, pointing her magnifying glass at the sky.
Indeed, something bright and shiny cut across the sky, leaving a luminous trail behind. But instead of disappearing, the object fell somewhere deep in the jungle with a loud „BOOM!”
„That wasn’t an ordinary star!” Kuba jumped up, adjusting his hat. „It must be a spaceship!”
„Or a meteorite!” Patrycja squeaked excitedly.
„Maybe it’s just a very large, glowing fruit?” Zofia wondered, stretching her neck.
Alfred sniffed the air.
„It smells… strange. Like nothing I know in the jungle. We must investigate!”
The next morning, after morning exercises and breakfast (Kuba ate two steak cookies because he claimed he needed a lot of strength for the expedition), the detectives packed their tools and set off.
„According to my calculations,” Patrycja said, studying the map through her magnifying glass, „the mysterious object fell somewhere near Muddy Valley.”
The journey was full of adventures. Kuba fell into a puddle and splashed everyone around.
„Sorry!” he called out, shaking off his wet hat. „But at least now we smell like mud, so the aliens won’t detect us!”
„Aliens detect mud?” Zofia wondered.
„Of course!” Kuba replied confidently. „Everyone knows that!”
Alfred just shook his head and sniffed.
When they reached Muddy Valley, they saw something unusual – there was a huge hole in the ground, and strange, shiny fragments lay around it.
„It must be a spaceship!” Kuba whispered excitedly.
Patrycja examined the fragments through her magnifying glass.
„Hmm, this looks like… chocolate?” she wondered.
Alfred sniffed one of the pieces.
„It smells like chocolate with… honey? And nuts?”
At that moment, they heard a soft crunching sound. Behind a bush sat a small bear cub, munching on the last piece of the chocolate meteorite.
„Hi!” he said with a full mouth. „Sorry, but I couldn’t resist. It’s the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten!”
It turned out that the „falling star” wasn’t a spaceship at all, but a huge chocolate ball that had fallen from a plane transporting sweets to a big store in the city.
„But why was it glowing?” Kuba asked, disappointed.
„Because it was wrapped in shiny, golden paper!” the bear cub explained, showing pieces of the wrapper.
The detectives burst out laughing. Instead of aliens, they found the biggest chocolate in the world!
„Well, it may not be aliens, but the mystery is solved!” Patrycja proudly announced.
The bear cub shared the remaining chocolate with them, and the detectives invited him for cookies at their base in return.
In the evening, tired but satisfied, they returned home. After dinner, each animal went to its little bed. Kuba put his hat on the nightstand, Patrycja hid her magnifying glass under the pillow, Zofia comfortably arranged her long neck, and Alfred covered his nose with a warm blanket.
„Maybe next time we’ll really meet aliens,” Kuba mumbled sleepily.
„Maybe,” Patrycja yawned, „but today’s adventure was sweet too.”
And so our brave detectives fell asleep, dreaming of stars, chocolate, and new mysteries to solve.
