One hot morning, Patricia Desert Mouse rushed excitedly to the detectives’ office.
„I heard strange whispers in the desert” – she squeaked, waving her big ears.
Leo Lion adjusted his hat. „Whispers in the desert? Interesting…”
„Maybe it’s the wind?” – suggested Sophia Giraffe, chewing on a palm leaf.
„No, it sounded like a coded message” – insisted Patricia.
Alfred Aardvark lifted his long snout. „Hmm, something smells like a mystery here.”
The detectives set off into the desert. Patricia led them to where she heard the whispers. Suddenly, they all heard a faint hum.
„It sounds like… numbers?” – wondered Leo.
„3… 14… 15… 9…” – repeated Patricia.
„Wait” – exclaimed Sophia. „It’s the number pi Someone is sending mathematical messages”
Alfred sniffed intensely. „I smell… chalk?”
After a while, they discovered a hidden cave. Inside, they found a group of desert mice conducting secret math lessons.
„Sorry for the commotion” – said their leader. „We wanted to teach our kids math, but we were afraid other animals would laugh at us.”
„Not at all” – shouted Leo. „Math is super”
„How about joint lessons for all animals?” – proposed Sophia.
Thus, the mystery of the whispers was solved, and the animals gained a new, fascinating pastime – math lessons in the desert!
Back at the office, the detectives celebrated their success, munching on their favorite cookies. Alfred purred contentedly: „Who would have thought the desert could be so… calculable”
